Courses and Service Projects

Zena Creek Ranch provides the ideal backdrop for experiential learning and service projects.

For example, Boise State University (BSU) is hosting a week-long, three-credit course at the ranch. Spanning multiple departments, the course is supported by the BSU School of the Environment, School of Public Service, College of Engineering, the Andrus Center, and the Energy Policy Institute-CAES.

Per the course description, students will investigate use-inspired questions related to energy and water transitions in rural Idaho. Focus will be placed on problem-based learning, individual reflection, and field projects.
